In other news, we’re hard at work reviewing chapbooks and videos from the 2016 contests. We’ve already witnessed a ton of incredible work, and we can’t wait to share some of it with all of you. Keep an eye out for more updates there in the next couple months!

And finally, speaking of the contest, last year’s chapbook winner, St.Trigger by Aaron Coleman, is officially available for order. Adrian Matejka, last year’s finalist judge, writes “Aaron Coleman’s undeniable St. Trigger breaks open the conflicted masculinities in the fist-heavy spaces around Black America. Through his hard-hitting, sonic verses, all of the frustrations pushing against Blackness in 2016—the insistent danger, the unforgiving partisanship, the violence—are transformed into necessary resilience.” Get your copy today!
