Title: Software Developer: Poet and Writer Applications

Location of employment: 1219 S Marquette Ave, Suite 390, Minneapolis, MN 55403

Company: Button Publishing Inc.

Job Duties: Develop, create, and modify web tools and mobile applications software or specialized utility
programs particularly for aiding the development of amateur, emerging and professional poets/writers.
Interface with artists including poets and writers to understand user requirements and translate them into
technical requirements for the software design and development. Design software UI or customize software for
client use with solid understanding of operational efficiency and user experience focused design. Analyze and
design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as
part of a team. Collaborate with management and/or users to help develop and integrate e-commerce strategies
with technologies. Communicate with network personnel or website hosting agencies to address hardware or
software issues affecting apps and web tools. Evaluate code to ensure that it is compatible with browsers,
devices, and is compliant with legal issues including accessibility and privacy.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area

Experience (may be gained concurrently): Two (2) years of experience in software and full stack development,
designing and implementing User Interfaces that implements forward facing techniques and technologies,
creating manual and automated test scripts, user testing client-server and web applications, Developing
Wordpress, including WordPress themes, plugins and hooks, design of UI informed by strong, qualitative user
research, command of Object Oriented Design and concepts, SQL and Relational Databases, maintaining and
supporting databases as well as creating new database schemas, setting up test and production environments,
validating the data in the flat files, Quality Center and Quick Test Professional software testing tools, writing
effective business requirements, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Software Programs:
Wordpress [PHP, HTML, JS, CSS], SCSS, React [redux/flux], Jquery, AJAX, node.js, Xcode [Swift 4 & similar] ,
Android Studio [Java], Microsoft Visio, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker Containers, Oracle SQL developer, Adobe CS,
Sketch, Invision, Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite. Employer also requires One (1) year of experience working
with poets and writers.
