Welcome to Button University!
SUMMER CAMP!
(w/ Sabrina Benaim)
Let’s have some fun this summer exploring ourselves and the world around us through poetry. Each week will offer a stand-alone workshop that focuses on either a form, a feeling, or a classic summer camp activity. There will be lots of writing exercises, readings of poems, time for you to write & time for you to share with the class.
This summer, our summer camp workshop is a little different! We invite you to join Sabrina for Summer Camp: a rolling enrollment, virtual course designed to not only generate poems, but give time for poets to share their work!
The class will meet once a week from August – September. Students can enroll for a month and then continue the workshop or not as their schedule allows.

Looking for a summer writing activity? While Button U classes are designed to be generative workshops, Summer Camp builds on that idea with a twist. While some students would love the opportunity to share their work during class, there isn’t always time built into the syllabus.
Summer class days will be divided in half: the first 2 hour of class is solely dedicated to workshops while the final hour is reserved for sharing! Sabrina not only will be your instructor but also your open mic host! Choose your class session in July or August!
